Children and Youth

Jess Rockey

Email: jrockey@glossbrenner.net

Jessica has been a lifelong resident of Mount Joy and a 2008 graduate of Donegal High School. She has an associate’s degree in social sciences from HACC in Lancaster. She wanted to get her bachelors in social sciences and become a social worker one day but meeting a dashing young man named Brandon Rockey (her now husband) altered those plans. So Jessica spent
most of the past decade raising her two children, Iris and Silas, as well as working part time in a nearby assisted living home. With Iris and Silas now being in school full time Jessica started praying for the past couple years for God to raise her up into a career that is meaningful, can further his kingdom, and where she will still be able to spend time with her family. We are happy to report that in 2021 God answered her prayer in his always perfect timing as the new Children and Youth Director at Glossbrenner. She is very happy to share the word of God with our youth and show them that being a Christian is far from boring. She strives to make Bible lessons
applicable to help youth navigate the struggles in today’s world while creating a fun atmosphere for teens to connect in. When Jessica is not working in Church you can catch her riding her bike, playing games with her family, camping and going on walks with her Boston Terrier puppy
named HANK!
